Kayaking and SUP: a special experience in the ocean of Okinawa
If you want to enjoy Okinawa's ocean more than anyone else, head to Kerama Kayak Center and DRIFTER. We offer sea kayaking, SUP, and snorkeling experiences in the vast ocean of the Kerama Islands, which have been designated as a national park, and the quiet, untouched waters of Ojima Island, where coral reefs stretch out. Both tours are welcome for beginners and repeat visitors alike. Veteran guides will provide thorough support, so even first-timers can participate with confidence. Discover another side of Okinawa that you won't find through tourism alone. So grab a paddle and head out to sea.

Attraction 1: Okinawa's best fields
The "Kerama Blue" of the Kerama Islands and the coral paradise of Ojima in the south. The waters of Kerama, designated as a national park, are some of the clearest in the world and boast dynamic scenery. Around Ojima, there are quiet coves and untouched coral points that local guides are familiar with. You can enjoy the charm of the sea in these two areas with different personalities.
Feature 2: Small-group tours that are safe for beginners
Don't worry if it's your first time in the ocean. Careful guides and support are provided. All tours are limited to small groups so that people who can't swim or those with children can participate with peace of mind. Our experienced guides will give you detailed instructions on everything from how to use the equipment to how to enjoy the ocean. First-time visitors are more likely to feel glad that they participated.
Point 3: High-quality equipment and experience design
From the equipment to the way time is used, everything is just right. There are plenty of facilities to make your experience enjoyable, including kayaks and SUPs that are easy for beginners to use, comfortable life jackets, luggage storage, and changing spaces. What's more, the tours are planned based on the time and tides, and are carefully designed to match the ocean.

Winter-Season Snorkeling Tour (December–March)
This course is recommended for those who want to go snorkeling even in winter! In the waters of Zamami, two species of sea turtles—the Green Sea Turtle and the Hawksbill Turtle—can be found. If the timing is right, you might be able to meet them! You can join this tour even after a morning whale-watching trip, and even if you're coming from Naha on a day trip. We provide wetsuits with excellent warmth and flexibility, so you can stay comfortable in the water. Please note: The beach where we usually hold the tour is an area where sea turtles live. In the past, we have been able to spot them about 80% of the time, but since sea turtles are wild animals, sightings are not guaranteed. Also, on days with strong winds, we may not be able to access the turtle area.

The schedule is very relaxed—you’ll even have enough time to take a leisurely nap after lunch—so beginners can also enjoy it comfortably. The tour is open to participants who are junior high school age and older and can paddle a SUP on their own. However, if there are elementary school–aged children in your group, they can ride together on the guide’s board, so please let us know at the time of reservation.
